BellyTalk - February 2021
Hi Everyone,

What does 2021 hold for us all after the year we had in 2020. The eerie start to 2020 from the Australian Bushfires led onto COVID 19, and how our vocabulary changed -lockdowns, social distancing, etc. Right now we feel lucky that we can continue pretty much as normal while much of the rest of the world struggle with the pandemic.

On to happier topics - the end of year Christmas hafla/party was fun as always with our guests - Soul Star Tribe,  Sonidos Flamenco, Zumarrad of course the lovely dancers from Desert Veils Bellydancers.

For 2021 classes will start on Tuesday 16th February. Hope everyone is ready to jump in and make dancing a part of your activities.

Events Coming Up

Medanz Festival a 6 over Anzac Weekend 23-26th April in Nelson. So not too far to go for some inspiring teachers from around Aotearoa. Go to www.medanz.org for details
From the Beginning'   is a 6 week beginners course on Tuesdays at 7.30 - 8.30pm                 
                                           Starting on Feb 16th and ending on March 23th
                                              Cost for the course: $70         Contact farida for more details

             


                                    
Classes - all start from  February  16th
Beginners Bellydance is on Wednesdays at 7.25 - 8.25pm. Please let me know if you would like to come along. Always happy to have new students.

Advanced Bellydance is on Tuesdays at 6.15 - 7.15pm.

Intermediate Bellydance is on Wednesdays at 6.15 - 7.15pm.

Belly Noir  is our 'fusion' class on Wednesdays at 7.15pm come along to try the funky moves that distinguish this style. This class is on hold for the moment

Sonidos Flamenco classes are on Mondays from 6-7.30pm you would like to come along to these flamenco classes. Chad plays guitar for these classes and it great to learn with live music.
